Lemba Pottery – Terms and Conditions
ABOUT OUR WORK
All Lemba Pottery work is handmade and will show the marks of this process. Our gas firings due to reducing conditions which may occur produce unique differences in colours and glaze reaction and this means every item you purchase is completely unique and a one-off. We do however create groups of work that are clearly a ‘set’ with minor variations.
All our items:
Are handmade and show the marks of this process
Are made of stoneware clay and glazed with our own glazes.
Are unique with differences in applications of glaze and slight variations in size.
All items intended for food and drink are food safe and meet European hygiene standards.
Most items are dishwasher and microwave friendly.
HEALTH & SAFETY
All Lemba Pottery is lead free and all items intended for use with food or drink are food safe.
How do I care for my Lemba Pottery item?
Most food/drink items are dishwasher and microwave safe but we recommend hand-washing. Do not soak in water for long periods or expose to direct heat or extreme variations in temperature. Please take care not to over-heat in the microwave.
Large decorative items should only be dusted or hand washed to prevent breakages or chipping.
All items are sanitized and packaged carefully to ensure your safety, but please always wash your items with soap and water before using them.
How quickly should I expect my parcel to arrive?
Ready to ship items:
Cyprus orders: We arrange delivery of packages once a week. If you live in Cyprus, you can expect your package within 7 business days, once sent.
Worldwide shipments should be with you in 20 business days. Please keep in mind that once an item leaves Lemba Pottery studio to be sent abroad, it is in the jurisdiction of the receiving country’s postal service and customs. Once an item is in customs it can be held by that country for up to 45 days. We do not have authority over the package at this time. It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact your local postal services or customs to locate a package, as Lemba Pottery is no longer in possession of the item once it leaves Cyprus. Please check your email for a tracking number and file a claim if an item is held in customs for more than 45 days.
Custom items may take up to a month to be shipped after an order is placed. Pottery takes time to dry and requires two firings. We will make sure to keep you updated on the progress of your order and estimated delivery time.
Lemba Pottery is not responsible for taxes or customs charges. Please keep in mind that if you are located outside the European Union, you may need to pay customs fees upon pick up of your parcel.
You, the customer, are responsible for all taxes and duties imposed by your country of residence for importing goods. These charges are out of our control, and are different from country to country depending on the products ordered and the rates of duty and charges imposed by the country in which you live. Please check with your country's customs office to determine their procedures and any potential charges.
Lemba Pottery is not responsible for any packages that are held by international customs agencies and it is not the responsibility of Lemba Pottery to make the customer aware of these delays. They are beyond our control. Your package may arrive at your local post office or delivery centre and be held until pickup and payment is taken care of. If you neglect to pick up your package and it is returned to us, we will not refund the charge for original shipping.
Tracking numbers will be available as soon as the items will be dispatched.
DAMAGED GOODS POLICY & RETURNS
We make every effort to ensure your items are packaged carefully and reach you safely. On rare occasions, breakages occur in the mail. Broken items must be reported to Lemba Pottery within 24 hours of the delivery date for a refund to be issued.
If a piece arrives damaged, we will ask to see a photo of it, along with the box and packaging with all the postage labels visible. Email
Replacement and refunds on damaged goods: If we have a similar piece in our studio or if you would like to wait for us to reproduce it, we will either send you a new piece or refund your money in full.
Refunds will only be made on items damaged in transit and reported to us within 24 hours of arrival. We are unable to refund damages reported after the 24 hour delivery date limit.
Returns cannot be made for any reason other than receiving the wrong product.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event shall Lemba Pottery, nor its directors, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use our Services; (ii) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
Lemba Pottery shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use this site, or the performance of the products. The Site shall not be liable for any damages incurred as a result of any loss, disclosure, or third party use of information, regardless of whether such disclosure or use is with or without User’s knowledge or consent. The Site shall have no liability for any damages related to: User’s actions or failures to act, the acts or omissions of any third party beyond the Site’s reasonable control.
